Mason's first trip to the beach! He enjoyed watching the water but didn't think too much about the cold water! Lets hope he gets used to it..this family LOVES the beach!

Caden's Funny Moments

I decided to post some of the funny things Caden says...

Today we were at the mall and the kids were eating chicken nuggets ( I sware this was the first time in a while we fed them Mickey D's! LOL) and Caden was making shapes with his food..the first one he took a bite that was in the shape of an L and he goes " Daddy, what does this look like?" Jimmy says " an L" Caden took another piece of chicken ( that had not been chewed) and goes "Daddy, what does this look like" Jimmy says "not sure Caden...what?" Caden " It looks like CHICKEN" then proceeds to laugh at his daddy!...cute huh??

Caden was looking at Riley's baby album from when she was born and there was a picture of her right after they delivered her. He noticed she had blood on her and asked " did you just eat alot of ketchup?"

We were saying our prayers last night and Caden prayed to God to make my papa ( who just recently died ) better so he can come back to earth and to bring back Big Papa's ( my father) parents back to earth bc he never met them. How sweet is this child!

I was picking Caden up from school yesturday and came to get him in our van. We had been using Jimmy's car for about a week while the van was in the shop. Much to Caden's disappointment, the van was fixed so I showed up that day in my car. He gets in and says.."Mommy, why do we have this car?" I said, "we got it fixed! Aren't you glad??" He says "no, i like daddy's car better", so I asked why. He says " because Daddy has a man's car! " LOL

Caden had asked for a snack and while making him one, Riley came in and asked for the same. There was a green bowl and a pink bowl. Riley took the green bowl for some reason and I was tired so when Caden came in to get his I said, "Caden, please just take the pink bowl so mommy doesn't have to get back up" and Caden goes "but MOMMY! Pink is my arch enemy!"

Caden is getting ready to start kindergarden in July. He is so excited to be in school this year. He is so smart but seems to be the class clown in his preschool so it should be interesting to see how he does in a more structured environment. His teacher said " if Caden has an audience he will entertain"! Caden has a great sense of humor but is one of the most sensitive kids I know. He has a big heart and loves his family so much. He always says " we have the best family mommy"! I wish I could keep him this age forever! His current obsession is Transformers-he loves everything transformers. He will start his football career in August ( mom is alittle nervous ). Dad wanted him to start tackle this year but I had to insist on flag football at first!

Riley is 3.5 and is the sweetest little thing. She is starting to say "I love you" without being said that to her first. It makes my heart so happy to hear those words from her! She has been going to speech therapy for a few months since she was alittle late talking but she has caught up quickly! She is in dance class for now but I am not sure that is really her thing. She loves being with the other little girls but I think we will try something new in the fall. She loves her brothers and does a good job keeping up with Caden. She is alittle brut sometimes but can you blame her with two brothers? She loves makeup, jewelry, shoes .... all the pretty girly things. Loves bows in her hair and princess anything she sees. I always say she will be beating up the boys on the playground in her Prada shoes! I am sure she is the only 3 year old girl with long wearing lipstick on ( she finds it no matter where I hide it-and it won't come off!) and temporary tattoos! That sums her up fantastically! Riley is one of a kind and so beautiful!

Mason James is the newest member of the O'Brien clan and he is such a sweet little baby! He is really starting to be able to interact with the other kids so they are having a lot of fun with him. He gave us a little trouble in the beginning..not sleep all night until just recently! He is now starting to get a routine and loves to sit and watch the caios that is Caden & Riley. He will be 7 months old in a week and I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is sitting up, crawling ( well, his version anyway ) and starting to feed himself! He is the spitting image of Caden so we know we will have another handsome o'brien boy in the family!
