Caden & Riley at Disney on Ice this year..

Long Time!

Well, obviously it has been a long, long time since I have posted on this blog. Facebook has taken over and I usually put my pictures and funny things over there. My how things have changed. I think since our last post, we have moved twice, and the kids are so much bigger! Caden, now in first grade had to change schools due to the move and is loving his new class. He has such great kids in his class. He has a couple of really good friends and has also let us know he has a girlfriend! He is doing very well academically and even won an award for most improved in his class. He still loves football although we are getting ready for baseball and he really wants to try hockey. We will have to see about that! His current obsession is the Wii, loves Mario Kart & Super Mario brothers. I can't believe he is getting ready to turn 7! He has decided he wants to have some buddies over for a sleep over so should be interesting in the house with 5 seven year olds up all night! I am sure Riley will be right in the middle of it all! Riley is now 5, she had a dinosaur birthday party for her 5th. I tried to get her to do a girlie party with all girls but said she had some good friend who were boys and wanted to invite them so we did! She loves dinosaurs, honestly she knows more about them than I do! She is still in speech, although down to once a week and has come so far! We just registered her for kindergarden and honestly...when did she grow up? She loves her brothers and gets so heartbroken when Caden doesn't show his affection for her like he used to (he says he is too embarrassed to tell her he loves her now) and broke down when he told her she wasn't his valentine this year! Too cute..she is so smart just doesn't always like to do what she is told. Early on we knew she was her own person and I truely love that about her! Mason is 2.5 now..finally starting to talk and show is personality. He is a mama's boy, which now that the older two are growing up makes me so happy! He loves to snuggle and his favorite things are trucks, Rocket from little einsteins and Dora the explorer (he just discovered her!). He tried to keep up with Caden but mostly hangs out with Riley, who is good to him. This year he is a little traveling man, getting rushed from place to place due to the kids activites but he is good about it.We just started a gymnastics class (mommy & me type thing) which he LOVES. It is so nice to be with him one on one and you can tell he really enjoys having mommy all to hisself as well! He is registered for preschool (two days a week) and so now all three of my "babies" will be in school come fall....I get so emotional (overly so) about all this. I know this is the beginning of one chapter but looking forward to seeing them become more and more independant and to see what they do with that independance! I have three great kids!

Caden's Funny Moments

I decided to post some of the funny things Caden says...

Today we were at the mall and the kids were eating chicken nuggets ( I sware this was the first time in a while we fed them Mickey D's! LOL) and Caden was making shapes with his food..the first one he took a bite that was in the shape of an L and he goes " Daddy, what does this look like?" Jimmy says " an L" Caden took another piece of chicken ( that had not been chewed) and goes "Daddy, what does this look like" Jimmy says "not sure Caden...what?" Caden " It looks like CHICKEN" then proceeds to laugh at his daddy!...cute huh??

Caden was looking at Riley's baby album from when she was born and there was a picture of her right after they delivered her. He noticed she had blood on her and asked " did you just eat alot of ketchup?"

We were saying our prayers last night and Caden prayed to God to make my papa ( who just recently died ) better so he can come back to earth and to bring back Big Papa's ( my father) parents back to earth bc he never met them. How sweet is this child!

I was picking Caden up from school yesturday and came to get him in our van. We had been using Jimmy's car for about a week while the van was in the shop. Much to Caden's disappointment, the van was fixed so I showed up that day in my car. He gets in and says.."Mommy, why do we have this car?" I said, "we got it fixed! Aren't you glad??" He says "no, i like daddy's car better", so I asked why. He says " because Daddy has a man's car! " LOL

Caden had asked for a snack and while making him one, Riley came in and asked for the same. There was a green bowl and a pink bowl. Riley took the green bowl for some reason and I was tired so when Caden came in to get his I said, "Caden, please just take the pink bowl so mommy doesn't have to get back up" and Caden goes "but MOMMY! Pink is my arch enemy!"
